All Natural Stone is making its presence known in the East Bay one presentation at a time. The Pleasanton showroom, formerly known as Callahan Tile, has been through an ongoing transition to become All Natural Stone East Bay and made its debut last month during an Artistic Tile presentation. This product knowledge event is just the first of many to come, as shown last Thursday when AKDO vendor representative, Robin Merwin, gave an informative and entertaining presentation on the brand’s esteemed products. Here’s a recap of the evening and what to expect in case you want to drop by our future events (because we know you do!)
The team sets up the electronics to ensure that the presentation goes smoothly without interruptions and technical difficulties.
Local restaurant, Eddie Papa’s provided a savory selection of hors d’oeuvres for the night offering sliders, fruit kebabs, and a Brie pastry. The bacon-wrapped jalapeno poppers were especially a “hot” topic among the crowd.
Mike happily tended the bar, which was stocked with Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Sauvignon Blanc.
Some guests took a gander at the showroom’s vast selection of tile, which was, of course, a great conversation starter.
Gail Callahan entertained some of the designers who decided to join us for the event, discussing the additions to and the future plans for All Natural Stone East Bay, which include the prospect of relocating to a bigger venue with a slab warehouse.
Left: Though injured, AKDO’s spunky vendor rep, Robin Merwin, braved through her highly informative and entertaining presentation, without so much as a wince! Center: Owner, Larry Perez, acted as Robin’s Vanna White, holding AKDO installation boards and adding his own expertise on Calacatta and Carrara Marbles. Robin enlightened the crowd on one of AKDO’s premiere products called “Lace,” an intricate and gorgeous line of hand-made tile mosaics that Robin conceptualized herself! She wowed the audience with pictures and stories of Lace’s production, which included an exciting trip to AKDO’s factory in Turkey.
She also expanded on many other popular and successful AKDO products, including Fabric (left) and their new tile line called Glass Heavy Rain (right).
At the end of the evening, everybody in the audience received a fashionable and environmentally friendly tote bag, which had a useful measuring tape and All Natural Stone note pad inside.
All in all, the night was not only a success but also a blast, filled with beautiful tile, delectable food, and valuable information. But, don’t feel bad if you missed out, there will be more occasions to come! And, if you’re in the neighborhood, do stop by our showroom on Hopyard Road and we’ll be happy to assist you in your home renovation.
